“I want all of tortoise kind eliminated. But, if they look like a turtle, they may live.” Cornel vulture declared as he landed on his perch above all the others. “Orders come from the top dog himself.”
The frogs below him croaked and complained below him. “How many animals do we need to kill?” they complained. The poisonous frogs and toads could only do so much after all.
“Hey don’t complain to me! I’m just the messenger,” he cackled before beginning to flap his wings. “Now get to it. They won’t stay in their pens forever.” He took off back towards the boss’ den, landing inside.
The boss, a short, wrinkly bull dog, turned to look at the entering vulture before doing back to his painting. It was hard to tell what it was since there pawprints all over it, but he insisted it was art. “Any trouble with the orders?” he asked.
“Nope, they just groaned a little, but will follow orders. They know the drill.”
“And the status on the other animals being kept?”
“There’s only four elephants left; we’re trying to bring them down though.” The boss nodded. “And we’re working on having turtles become the dominate species, since you claim they’re the most desirable.”
“And the ugly tortoises are being eliminated?”
“Yes, because you’re just soooo good at telling the different species apart,” he said under his breath.
“Good. When can we invade the snails?”
“Soon, boss. Very Soon.”
The boss nodded before turning back to his art. Evidently he wanted turtles to be the only things left, despite the fact he was as far from them as he could get.

FFM 2018 Day 30 - Unwilling Princess
"Now, one of the most important parts of usurping the throne is that you not stroll through the gardens at night plotting out loud. Monologues do add to the drama and tragedy of it all, but it's all too easy for a humble servant or illicit lover to overhear. We do suggest that you walk through the gardens at night anyway, but it's better to maintain an air of silent melancholy than to share your plot with the statue you ask to guide you."
Emilia Rosemary Valentinius Grandflower Darkwinter was barely awake. She'd expected courses on etiquette and lessons on noble pastimes such as horseback riding or dancing. Instead, she was surrounded by att

A Quest for Legendary Tuition Money
“Jared! Delia! Come look at this!” Syble called, crouching near a bush on campus. Jared and Delia ran over from where they were practicing for their next sorcery exam. “What is it?” Delia asked. Syble grinned. “Follow me.” She crawled through the leaves. Jared and Delia exchanged a look before following. The trio sat under the bush. The space was almost too small for the three of them. Syble snapped her fingers and a small ball of light formed in her hand. “You guys know the legends about the tunnels under the town right?” “Yeah…” Delia said. “Well, I think I found them!” She moved the light to illuminate a hole in the trunk of the bush. Jared stared at it. “Wait, you mean the tunnels the school founders discovered a bunch of treasure and promptly died in!?” “That’s what the legend says, yeah.” “Oh no! I am not dying in a tunnel maze for some stupid treasure - ahhh!” As he began to make his escape, Delia grabbed him by the belt and pulled him back. “Jare, think

Throughout the entire fight, Elena had had a bad feeling. Like something had gone wrong. She was especially concerned for Peter. They’d split up among the rest of the group to fight with the rebellion and find the Eye of the Sea, an artifact that could defeat the man who had taken over their home. Before they had split up, Elena had promised Peter that they’d go see the ocean together, after everything was okay and they could be happy. But she felt like … she didn’t know how to phrase it … like that promise had somehow … sealed their fates. Elena shook her head as she walked through the battlefield after the fight. It had felt so final but - it was just a promise. Peter was far away from the danger of the battlefield anyway. He was fine. When she saw him again, he would be fine. When she reached the beach, the moon was rising over Peter’s half the group as they sailed back to shore. She could see something glimmering in the boat. They had found the Eye! Elena ran into the sea
