“So how’d you get that scar on your eyebrow there?” someone asked, pointing a finger at the man’s left brow.
The man chuckled, took another sip of his drink and leaned back, remembering the story like it was only yesterday.
“When I was traveling across the world, there was this one night I stopped to stay in a run down town. It was a place that looked like it had been great once upon a time. Like the sidewalk was all fancy and pretty and white until it took a few years of weathering that turned it cracked and brown. And the buildings were the same; expensive, but run down looking. Like no one had done any sort of maintenance on them in a really long time.”
He took a swig from his drink. “Anyway, I ride into town and first place I go to is the bar, because that’s always the place you go to first; it’s were you find out the Do’s and the Don’t of the town. So I walked in there and ordered a drink. Next thing I know I’m drinking some rich guy under the table and laughing at the fact I was taking shots of tequila straight and he needed a splash of something else in there. When he finally passed out, his buddy paid for my stay at the inn across the street.”
Taking another pause to chug his drink now, he giggled a little before finishing the story. “So I walk out the door of the bar, take two steps and WHAM! I trip face first onto the pavement. I landed on an upturned part of the sidewalk, where it had cracked and part of it rose off the ground a little, so that section cut into my face and made it bleed pretty bad. I was lucky I could cover up the blood with my sleeve long enough to get my room at the inn set up. I washed it up then and bandaged it. And after a little while, it healed, but there’s always been a scar right there from it.”
The someone was taken aback, raising their eyebrows as the story ended. “So what you’re telling me is,” he paused to pick out his words right. “You tripped while you were drunk and cut it on the sidewalk?”
“Yup!” he exclaimed, toasting a new drink to the prospect.
“And here I thought it was going to actually be something exciting.”

About the Jeweled Spiritverse
In Pokeworld pop culture, no series has made a bigger impact than Waku's "Raikou, Dragon, and Phoenix" epic martial arts universe, often called the Jeweled Spiritverse. Spanning movies, TV shows, stage performances, and just as much merchandise over the years, the trio of Ruby Phoenix, Sapphire Dragon, and Emerald Raikou are household names both in Waku and overseas--and anything featuring the characters is guaranteed to be a hit. No matter which three actors are performing the characters, audiences know they are in for a fun filled action packed romp through ancient Waku. The different incarnations of the characters are kept straight as "generations" named for flowers, jewels, and other motifs in martial arts--and some generations will last longer than others. So when a new generation of Ruby Phoenix, Sapphire Dragon, and Emerald Raikou is due to be chosen, all eyes are on who the three lucky actors will be. It is not unheard of for an unknown to be cast as one of the three, and then
